Welcome to these special 9 days of memorable Kenya and Tanzania safari, an extraordinary safari adventure into East Africa’s major tourism destinations. The safari will give you an opportunity to explore major national parks like Masai Mara Game Reserve and Serengeti national park. This adventurous tour allows you to meet and interact with some of Africa’s indigenous cultures – the Masai people. You will also encounter with the world’s greatest animal migration – wildebeest migration. Enjoy exceptional views at the Mara River – one of Africa’s deadliest rivers as the wildebeests force their way to the other side of the river while the deadly Nile Crocodiles do their best to deny them an opportunity to see the next day. DESTINATION GUIDE: Location of Masai mara and Serengeti National Park, the main destinations of this safari

Day One – Nairobi to Masai Mara game reserve

You will be picked from the airport in the morning and be driven to Masai Mara in a 5-hour drive to the main gate, passing through the Eastern branch of the great African rift valley and Narok Town a famous Masai town.  You will arrive at the lodge in time for check in and lunch. Later afternoon after relaxation, you will go for a game drive through the park where you will have the opportunity to see various wildlife like lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo and many species of antelope that live in this great game reserve. After the afternoon game drive, you will be conveyed back to your lodge where you will have dinner and overnight rest.

Day Two – Full day at Masai Mara National Reserve

You will spend the whole of his day observing wildlife in the Masai Mara National Reserve, with morning and afternoon game drives. There is a great opportunity to see the “Big Five”: Lion, elephant, buffalo and leopard. gnus, zebras, cheetahs, gazelles and other species of wildlife can also be easily spotted. You will experience the famous gnu and zebra hike (from Serengeti National Park to Masai Mara National Reserve); this mass hike is one of the wonders of the world. The Masai Mara is the territory of the Great Animal Migration, a massive accumulation of around 1.5 million wildebeests, 200,000 zebras and 350,000 gazelles that takes place in an annual survival race in search of enough water and grass over a distance of 1200 miles.
You will have lunch amidst this day’s activities, and in the early evening, you will be driven back to your lodge for enough rest, dinner and sleep.

Day Three – Masai Mara National Reserve – Isebania – Serengeti National Park

You will have breakfast early in the morning, check out of Mara Sopa lodge and then a long game drive starts for you through the Mara with lunch packages from on the way to Serengeti National Park. At the border, it takes about 45 minutes to process the visa and enter Tanzania. From the boarder, you will be driven to the Serengeti. The drive will take 3 hours to the main gate. You will be accompanied by our Tanzanian driver-guide. Lunch is on the way during these game drives on the way to the lodge. You will arrive at the lodge, check in and be offered dinner and bed

Day Four – Full day at Serengeti National Park

 You will wake up to an early morning breakfast after which you will check out with packed lunch for a full day game. Serengeti is without a doubt the finest national park in the whole of Tanzania. There are year round large herds of buffalo, smaller herds of elephant plus giraffes, in addition to millions of antelopes including elands, topi, impalas, Kongoni as well as the Grant’s gazelles. If you are lucky you will easily see the 3 big cats. Lions can as well be seen often enjoying a kill or resting. Also, in the southeastern plains, you will be able to regularly see cheetahs if you are lucky, whereas leopards may be seen resting in the giant trees.

Day Five – Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Crater

After your breakfast, you will check out of Seronera Wildlife Lodge and depart to the Ngorongoro Nature Reserve (with lunch packages from Seronera campsite) which is reached at early noon. Afterwards, you will be driven by safari jeep to the bottom of the crater for game viewing in this unique sanctuary. Rhinos, lions, elephants, leopards, cheetahs and buffalos all call this place home. At the climax of this day’s activities, you will be driven to Ngorongoro Rhine lodge, check in and be served dinner and bed. You will rest as you wait for the next day’s activities.

Day Six – Ngorongoro Crater – Lake Manyara National Park

You will wake up in the morning and have breakfast, check out of Ngorongoro Rhino lodge and head to Lake Manyara National Park. You will arrive at Manyara Serena Lodge in convenient time for check in and lunch. In the afternoon, you will go for the afternoon game drive with the opportunity to see various species of wildlife, adding on the sightings you had seen the previous days of doing game drives. After this episode, you will return to the lodge for dinner and bed

Day Seven-Lake Manyara National Park – Amboseli National Park

After breakfast you will check out of Manyara Serena Lodge and depart to Amboseli National Park, with a clear view of Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro. You will drive across the Namanga border, arriving in Amboseli in the late afternoon for lunch at Kibo Safari Camp and check-in. In the evening, you will do game viewing from around 16:00. The park is home to elephants, gnus and buffalos, gazelles, lions, cheetahs, monkey families and rare bird species. In the early evening, when the clouds are gone, you can clearly see the snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro. Later in the evening, you will return to the camp for bed and dinner

Day Eight – Full Day at Amboseli National Park

Breakfast will start your day, followed by game drives in this park which contains swamp grounds in which elephants and hippos bathe in abundance. A variety of antelopes and birds can also be seen and Mt. Kilimanjaro’s peak too if weather conditions permit. You will have picnic lunch and later in the evening, you will return to the camp for dinner and overnight sleep.

Day Nine: Amboseli National Park – Nairobi

On this day, you will do an early morning game drive before breakfast. This will grant another opportunity to view wildlife in a different perspective, capitalizing on the differences in animal active times. After this early morning game drive, you will return to the camp, have your late morning breakfast and check out of the camp. Afterwards, you will be driven as you leave Amboseli heading back Nairobi with some stops to admire curious fruit sellers. On reaching Nairobi, you will be dropped off at the airport for your onward flight. This marks the end of your amazing 9 Days of Memorable Kenya and Tanzania safari.
