Day 1: Arrival in Kigali and Transfer to Bwindi National Park

Upon your arrival, our friendly guide will meet you at the airport or your guest house. We’ll start your exciting 4 Day Gorilla and Golden Monkey Safari by crossing over to Uganda through the Cyanika/Katuna border. During the 4 to 5-hour drive, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of the scenic Kigezi hills with their rolling landscapes and beautiful valleys. Our destination is Bwindi National Park, where you’ll spend the night at either Bakiga Lodge or Rushaga Gorilla Havens Lodge.

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi National Park and Transfer to Mgahinga National Park

An early morning breakfast will fuel us for an unforgettable gorilla tracking experience. After a briefing at the park, you’ll be assigned a gorilla group to track. Let your guide know your fitness level so that a suitable gorilla group can be selected for you. The trek can be challenging, but it’s worth the effort once you encounter these majestic creatures in their natural habitat. Remember, photography is allowed but limited to one hour. After tracking, you’ll receive a gorilla tracking certificate at the headquarters before returning to the lodge. Later, we’ll transfer to Mgahinga National Park, where you’ll spend the night at Lake Chahafi Resort or Kisoro Travelers Inn.

Day 3: Golden Monkey Trekking in Mgahinga National Park

The day begins with an early morning breakfast, and then we’ll head to Mgahinga National Park for an exciting Golden Monkey trekking adventure. The bamboo forests of Mgahinga are a perfect home for these endangered monkeys. You’ll be amazed by their striking appearance, with beautiful golden and orange fur mixed with black limbs. The trek will also introduce you to other captivating attractions within the park. After this fantastic experience, we’ll return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 4: Return to Kigali and Departure

After breakfast, it’s time to bid farewell to Uganda as we transfer you back to Kigali. This marks the end of your 4-day Gorilla and Golden Monkey Safari.
