    3 Days Mombasa Safari

    Safari Highlights

    During this 3-day tour, you will visit this beautiful coastal city in the southeastern part of Kenya, on the Indian Ocean. Known for its rich history, stunning beaches, and diverse culture, Mombasa is a popular destination for tourists looking to experience both the beauty of the Indian Ocean and the city’s historical significance. The significant highlights here include among others beach escapes, historical sites, markets and shopping, cultural experiences, marine activities, Mombasa Marine National Park and nightlife.

    It takes roughly 4 hours to fly non-stop from Entebbe International Airport to Mombasa but alternatively, tourists can fly from Entebbe to Nairobi where they can use a train thereafter to Mombasa.

    Travel Itineraries

    DAY 1 : Flight from Entebbe to Mombasa and Mombasa Town Tour.

    You will take a morning flight and fly directly to Mombasa where you will be picked from the airport and get dropped to your hotel of residence, Severine Sea Lodge, check in and prepare to start your tour activities. At the hotel, you will be welcomed, served meals and refreshments and after them you will embark on your activity which is touring the Mombasa town. You will visit the historical old town and see the iconic Fort Jesus and learn much about the history of Portuguese and Arabs and their activities on the east African coast.
    You will tour the old port of Mombasa that used to be the center spot of exports and imports and after you will head into the heart of Mombasa town, make a stop-over at Pembe za Ndovu, and take some photos to spice up your adventure. This will be followed by visit to Mama Ngina gardens where you will enjoy the ocean breeze, see the ocean waves, enjoy the coconuts that are sold there in plenty. After this wonderful time touring the Mombasa town, you will drive back to your hotel relax, have dinner and other overnight activities.

    Day 2: Marine Park, Nyali beach tour and Tamarind Dhow.

    You will have a good breakfast at your hotel, ride on a boat and head for the Mombasa marine park where you will come into close contact with the marine wildlife. You will have a close view of some of the ocean’s most iconic creatures, have a wonderful time swimming with the dolphins, engage in enjoyable activities like snorkeling, diving, sun bathing, wind surfing and water skiing. After these glorious activities, you will head back to your hotel for lunch and lunch time refreshments after which you will go beach tour in Nyali. Here, you can play beach soccer, walk along the fine sand of Nyali bare footed, do a camel ride and swim in the low afternoon tides of the salty Indian ocean. You will also have the opportunity ride a speed boat on one of the many beaches of Nyali.
    After this, you will in the evening head back to your hotel room, have dinner and prepare for the wonderful Tamarind dhow night drive on the ocean. You will cruise the still waters of the oceans under the lights of this wonderful and historical dhow, similar t what the early Arab traders used to reach the coast of East Africa.
    You will have a great time here, enjoy sea food and if you are chanceful, you will have the opportunity to see the cargo vessels on the ocean, heading to the Port for docking. This will leave you with memories of a lifetime. After this activity, you will head to your room, have overnight sleep and refresh for the next morning’s activities.

    Day 3: Mombasa Port Tour, Haller Park and Return to Entebbe

    You will wake up to an early morning breakfast and after it you will drive to the Port of Mombasa reach at Gate 1, hire reflectors and enter. You will board one of the buses for Port operations and start your tour. During this time, you will see many docked ocean vessels, large cranes for lifting cargo, get taught much about port operations and how the port connects the East African member states. This will take you about one and a half hours and after there, you will drive to Haller Park for your next episode of this touring frenzy.
    Here at Haller Park that was originally known as Bamburi Nature Trail, you will have a chance to see wildlife in its natural setting, where flora and fauna co-exist. You will see animals like giant tortoises, giraffes, hippos, crocodiles, vervet monkeys, sites like huge fish ponds and many other attractions.
    After your wholesome moment at the park, you will be transferred back to your hotel room, prepare your belongings and check out. After that, you will be transferred to the airport, Moi International Airport where you will catch your flight back to Entebbe and your 3-day adventure to Mombasa will have come to an end.
